Background:

Paragangliomas are rare neuroendocrine tumors arising from neural crest cells.
These tumors can occur in various locations, including the head and neck.
Early diagnosis and surgical management are crucial for patient outcomes.

Observation:

A 33-year-old female patient presented with a palpable, non-tender neck mass.
Initial clinical examination revealed a discrete lump in the cervical region.
The mass did not exhibit tenderness upon palpation, suggesting a potentially benign or slow-growing lesion.

Findings:

Imaging studies, including CT and MRI, demonstrated findings characteristic of a paraganglioma.
The radiological features suggested a hypervascular tumor with typical enhancement patterns.
Surgical exploration and subsequent histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of paraganglioma.

Implications:

This case highlights the importance of considering paraganglioma in the differential diagnosis of neck masses.
Accurate imaging interpretation is vital for preoperative diagnosis and surgical planning.
Timely surgical resection offers a curative option for localized paragangliomas.
