Abstract:
The sensitivity of E. coli and C. freundii strains to 5-azacytidine and restrictase activity of partially purified cell-free extracts were investigated. Restrictase activity was found only in 5-azacytidine-sensitive strains. In the 5-azacytidine-resistant strains restrictase activity was not detected.
