Hyperuricemia and gout in thyroid endocrine disorders

Summary

Both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism increase the risk of hyperuricemia. Hypothyroidism also elevates gout risk, while hyperthyroidism leads to increased urate production. Thyroid dysfunction significantly impacts purine metabolism.
