Abstract
Objective:
To study the pharmacological effects of the polysaccharide from Urtica fissa.
Methods:
Pinna swelling induced by xylene in rats, footpad swelling induced by carageenin and immunity experiment were used.
Results:
The polysaccharide from Urtica fissa could inhibit footpad swelling induced by carrageenin and the pinna swelling induced by xylene in rats. It could also quicken speed of clearing away carbon black of mouse.
Conclusion:
The polysaccharide has the significant effect of anti-inflammation and immunity enhancement.
