Abstract:
This review discusses indications for an EEG-recording in patients suffering from epilepsy. Furthermore, a definition is given for those potentials which can be regarded as epileptiform. This is followed by an overview of interictal and ictal EEG findings observable in focal and generalized epilepsies.
