Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate warfarin's anticoagulant effect in an aging Hispanic population.

  • Data collected included age, medical problems, medications, bleeding episodes, and warfarin dosage.

  • Elderly patients (≥70 years) had more medical issues and took more medications.

  • Findings align with previous studies on aging populations and extend them to Hispanics.
  • Age is a critical factor influencing warfarin response.
