Summary

Investigating single fluorescent molecules in electric fields revealed that oscillating voltage gradients can double the concentration of rhodamine-labeled deoxy-uridine triphosphate (Rh-dUTP). This concentration increase is also observed for DNA molecules, aiding single-molecule diagnostics.
