[Comparative characteristics of various methods of sample preparation for determining ethanol in muscle tissue]

Abstract:

Three methods for sample preparation for ethanol detection by gas chromatography are compared. The highest ethanol output was obtained after preparation by 5-min heating of the biological object and the internal reference object with addition of trichloroacetic acid as the acidifier. Relationship between the results of ethanol measurements and the degree of muscle crushing was evaluated.
