  • Pulmonary lesions were predominant, with evidence of lymphatic and hematogenous dissemination.

Findings:

  • Atypical Mycobacterium tuberculosis morphology with high bacterial loads was observed microscopically.
  • Thymic and lymphoid tissue deficiencies correlated with impaired immune response.
