Summary

Tissue-type plasminogen activator (t-PA) treatment for acute ischemic stroke can be beneficial for very elderly patients. This case study shows rapid symptom resolution in a 100-year-old woman, suggesting careful consideration for thrombolysis in this population.

Background:
