Background:

Counselling services were previously unavailable in this rural area.
General practitioners (GPs) and policymakers require data on demand, integration, and value of practice-based counselling.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate a newly established practice-based counselling service in a rural primary care setting.
To inform GPs and policymakers about service demand, integration, value, and efficient organization.

Main Methods:

Mixed-methods evaluation including administrative data, patient satisfaction surveys, well-being scores, GP perceptions, and interviews.
Data collected from patients, the counsellor, GPs, and other primary care staff over one year.
