Abstract:
The management of pain is not taught in nursing or medical schools. It is incumbent on those in the clinical areas to increase their knowledge of good pain management practice through other educational opportunities. Assessment, treatment options, and medication regimens are important parts of the bigger pain management issues. This article focuses on such things as defining the problem, seeking solutions, and medications and their uses.
