Abstract:
Nurses frequently face violent and aggressive behaviour in the course of their daily work. Staff working in accident and emergency departments report the highest incidence of verbal and physical aggression and actual violence. This literature review examines the problem and highlights advice available on defusing potentially dangerous situations at work.
