Abstract:
Children's eating behaviors are driven by nutrient needs for growth and health, their developmental stage, and by physical and social aspects of the feeding environment. Engendering healthful eating styles requires recognition of children's needs and abilities and a positive, structured environment in which learning and self-regulation are encouraged.
