Background:

    • A trend towards a higher clinical pregnancy rate per oocyte retrieval was observed with blastocyst transfers, although not statistically significant in this study.
    • The findings support the benefit of extended embryo culture and blastocyst transfer for improving IVF/ICSI outcomes in unselected populations.
