Summary

Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) and osteosarcoma co-occurrence is rare. Modern limb salvage surgery and prompt treatment offer improved survival for this rare cancer combination.

Background:

  • Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by brittle bones.

  • This represents the only case in the literature involving major limb salvage for this condition.
