Summary

Low-dose multi-slice CT-colonography (MSCTC) offers comparable results to standard-dose MSCTC for detecting colorectal lesions. This reduced radiation technique effectively identifies polyps larger than 5 mm, enhancing patient safety.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy of low-dose MSCTC compared to standard-dose MSCTC.
  • To compare MSCTC techniques against conventional colonoscopy (CC).
  • To determine the detection rates of colorectal lesions using different MSCTC protocols.

  • 28 men and 24 women underwent MSCTC (standard and low-dose) followed by CC.
