Summary

Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) and primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) can co-occur, forming an overlap syndrome where PBC influences disease progression. AIH also overlaps with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), particularly in children, forming autoimmune sclerosing cholangitis.
