[An attempt at quantifying the role of demographic factors determining dependency ratios (II)]
Abstract:
"The contribution presents, evaluates and compares four recently elaborated quantitative procedures for estimating the immediate determinants of changing age structures. Two of them are used for evaluating the immediate determinants of changing proportions of populations of different age-groups and two of them are used for showing the immediate determinants of changing (or different) mean ages of populations studied....[The author uses] data for the Hungarian male population at the beginning, at the end and in the middle of 1990."
