Summary

Idiopathic nonhypercapnic central sleep apnoea (ICSA) is driven by increased hypercapnic ventilatory responses (HCVR). Left ventricular diastolic dysfunction and associated pulmonary hypertension are not primary causes of ICSA-related hyperventilation.
