Summary

Dogs with pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) often respond well to immunosuppressive drugs. Hematologic recovery in these canine patients may take weeks to months after treatment begins.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the clinical characteristics, laboratory findings, therapeutic interventions, and outcomes for dogs diagnosed with pure red cell aplasia.
  • To evaluate the efficacy of immunosuppressive therapy in canine PRCA.
