    Summary

    Heavy exposure to curing fumes significantly harms lung function, causing decreased pulmonary capacity and reduced forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1.0). Further studies and exposure reduction are recommended for affected workers.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To assess the impact of curing fume exposure on pulmonary function.
    • To compare lung function between heavily exposed workers and control groups.
    • To investigate both cross-sectional and longitudinal effects of exposure.

    • Pulmonary function tests (spirometry) were performed on curing workers and control groups.
    • Environmental sampling was used to categorize workers into high and low exposure levels.
