Randomized, double-blind trial of glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) in PD

Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) administered intracerebroventricularly did not improve Parkinson's disease symptoms. The treatment showed biological activity through adverse events but failed to reach target tissues for efficacy.
