Abstract:
The role of stem cells in a multi-tiered organization of tissue structure extends the potential of longevity in multicelled organisms. This role can be responsible for the mechanism of evolution of the stem cells themselves. The principles involved in this mechanism can aid research for the development and management of successful tissue therapies.
