  • The unusual size of these lesions prompted a detailed reexamination of archival pathological material and hospital records.

Findings:

  • All six cases were confirmed as cysticerci, though species identification from archival material was not feasible.
  • The study highlights that exceptionally large cysticerci can occur, presenting as significant tumor-like masses.
