Abstract:
Detection of H. pylori infection by serum antibody to H. pylori using ELISA is a popular method. Several ELISA kits are available in Japan. However, the sensitivity and specificity of ELISA kits are different among these kits. Recently urine-based ELISA kit for detection of antibody to H. pylori has been developed in Japan. It has been reported that the sensitivity and specificity of ELISA may be higher using the Japanese strain of H. pylori as antigen.
