Abstract:
Attentional deficits are frequent in brain damaged patients and involve mainly arousal, spatial orienting, selective and divided attention. In clinical practice, they are mainly observed in confusional state, hemineglect and the dysexecutive syndrome. Detection of attention disorder is usually easy during the clinical examination. Apart confusional state, the diagnosis of attention disorder usually requires a specific cognitive assessment.
