    Summary

    Alpha-tocopherol, a form of vitamin E, effectively inhibits platelet aggregation. It is most potent against arachidonate sodium-induced aggregation and preferentially blocks the second phase of aggregation triggered by epinephrine or adenosine diphosphate.
