Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess patient outcomes after ERM surgery using trypan blue for enhanced visualization and delamination.
  • To evaluate the safety and efficacy of trypan blue in this surgical context.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective review of 23 patients undergoing ERM surgery.
  • Three-port pars plana vitrectomy with trypan blue (0.06%)-assisted membrane delamination.

Main Results:

  • Median visual acuity improved from 20/100 preoperatively to 20/60 postoperatively.
  • 74% of patients experienced at least a 2-line improvement in visual acuity.
