Summary

Researchers investigated immune responses in Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) encephalitis. Increased expression of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) antigens was observed in brain tissue, suggesting immune-mediated mechanisms contribute to HIV brain disease.
