Abstract:
Naturally occurring and induced genetic anomalies of skeletal development offer a unique opportunity to identify all the genes that are relevant to the development, maintenance, and repair of the skeleton. Such studies also should provide new insights into the regulation of gene expression, the order of gene expression, interactions of the gene products, and the role of environmental factors in normal and abnormal skeletogenesis.
