    • The SPAA method is reproducible and reliable for assessing platelet function.
    • Increased platelet adhesivity and spontaneous aggregation in PAD patients signify a pathological response.
    • The SPAA shows potential for improving thrombosis prophylaxis and therapy by identifying hyperreactive platelets.
