Abstract:
Many indolent lymphomas are destined for eventual transformation to aggressive B-cell lymphomas, an event with significant impact on therapy and outcome. Specific morphologic patterns of transformation are described for common subtypes of low-grade B-cell lymphoma. The discussion highlights immunophenotypic, molecular, and genetic characteristics of lymphoma transformation.
