Abstract:
This article critically examines the recent phenomenon of legal liability for so-called excessive disclosure within the context of the informed consent doctrine. An attempt is made to formulate a set of workable principles to cater for both the doctor's dilemma and the patient's protection in over-information cases against the backdrop of the general principles of the doctor's duty to disclose.
