Summary

Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (PDE) activity decreases during mouse preimplantation development. Cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels remain stable until the blastocyst stage, increasing with expansion, but are not elevated by TGF-alpha.
