Chondroitin sulphate and peritoneal permeability.

Summary

Chondroitin sulphate infusion in rats improved peritoneal membrane function by increasing ultrafiltration and reducing protein loss. This glycosaminoglycan treatment also decreased peritoneal peroxidation, suggesting a protective effect on the membrane.
