[Results of treatment for anterolateral knee instability using Ellison's operation]

In 7 patients with anterolateral knee instability Ellison procedure was performed. After an average follow up of 56.7 months excellent and good results were found in 3 cases using functional assessment scale, in 6 cases according to patients opinions and in all cases submitted to fitness tests. The deterioration of function in operated knees observed on average 3 years after surgery was due to distraction of transplanted structures.
