Abstract:
Metastases of extrahepatic primaries are the most prevalent cause of malignant cells found in the liver. This overview is focusing on different regional and systemic palliative treatment modalities according to the histology of the primary tumor with special emphasis on metastastic colonic cancer. Furthermore indications and contraindications of the various treatment options are discussed.
