Background:

Ischaemic colitis (IC) presents with varied clinical manifestations, often correlating with the extent of ischaemic injury.
Differentiating IC from other conditions with similar symptoms, such as inflammatory bowel disease, is crucial for appropriate management.

Observation:

Two patients presented with clinical features suggestive of Crohn's disease.
Diagnosis was confirmed via endoscopy and biopsy.
Initial treatment led to complications including bowel obstruction and peritonitis in the respective cases.

Findings:

Histological examination of surgical specimens confirmed ischaemic colitis in both patients.
Surgical interventions, including Dixon's resection and Hartmann's operation, were performed.
