[Preoperative risk assessment and ambulatory management]

Evidence and practical approach of Coronary Risk Assessment in noncardiac surgery are reviewed. Growing literature suggests a benefit of perioperative b-blockade. Therefore, risk stratification and management are described in algorithms in order to provide a useful tool for practitioners both in the hospital and ambulatory setting.
