Introduction:
Physical symptoms in patients with psychiatric or neurocognitive disorders require an interdisciplinary diagnostic approach, particularly when symptoms are not adequately explained by objective organic findings. Careful differential reassessment and close interdisciplinary collaboration may help avoid misdiagnosis and unnecessary invasive interventions. The present case highlights the importance of considering somatic and psychiatric factors simultaneously to achieve targeted and appropriate treatment.
