Abstract:
Evaluation of the obese patient, like the evaluation of any medical patient, involves a medical history, physical examination, and laboratory evaluation. As with any chronic illness, there are certain aspects of the history, physical, and laboratory evaluation that deserve special emphasis. This article describes those aspects that deserve special emphasis in the case of obesity.
