Abstract:
The Brislin's model of translation is recommended as the most reliable method for developing an equivalent translated instrument. This article describes its application in translating the Chronic Heart Failure Questionnaire (CHQ) from English to Chinese. The equivalence of translation of the CHQ is established. The methodological issues and difficulties encountered in the translation process are discussed.
