  • To describe the clinico-pathological characteristics of metastatic neoplasms to the breast.
  • To highlight features that may aid in distinguishing these from primary breast cancers.

  • Retrospective review of a 10-year archive of surgical pathology cases (1990-2000).
  • Analysis of 10,650 breast neoplastic cases to identify metastatic lesions.

  • 24 cases of metastatic neoplasms to the breast were identified (22 women, 2 men).
