Summary

Thioredoxin-80 (Trx80) is a potent cytokine that stimulates human peripheral blood mononuclear cell growth and directs the immune system toward a Th1 response. Unlike thioredoxin (Trx), Trx80 lacks reductase activity but enhances monocyte proliferation and IL-12 secretion.
