Lipoprotein (a): a risk factor for retinal vascular occlusion

Elevated lipoprotein (a) [Lp (a)] levels are significantly associated with retinal vascular occlusion (RVO). This study indicates Lp (a) is an independent risk factor for RVO, independent of other lipid levels.
