Chronic inflammation, indicated by high interleukin-6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein (CRP), and IL-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RA) levels, is linked to reduced physical function and muscle strength in older adults. These markers may aid in screening and intervention strategies.
