Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is superior to transcutaneous ultrasound (US) for diagnosing obstructive jaundice, accurately identifying causes and staging tumors. EUS aids in treatment decisions, unlike US or endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).

Extrahepatic obstructive jaundice requires accurate diagnosis for effective management.
Transcutaneous ultrasound (US), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) are used to investigate obstructive jaundice.

To compare the diagnostic accuracy of US, EUS, and ERCP in patients with extrahepatic obstructive jaundice.
