Summary
Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) revealed transient abnormalities in the thalamus and midbrain during status epilepticus in an epilepsy patient with a vagus nerve stimulator (VNS). These reversible findings suggest VNS may influence brain regions affected by seizures.
