  • Computed tomographic (CT) colonography is a non-invasive imaging technique for colorectal polyp detection.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the frequency of polyp positional changes relative to the bowel surface.
  • To determine the underlying causes of observed polyp movement during CT colonography.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective analysis of CT colonography images from 113 patients prior to colonoscopy.
  • Evaluation of 49 colorectal polyps (≥5 mm) for presence and location in supine and prone positions.
  • Assessment of polyp mobility and its relationship to colonic positional changes.
